Abstract

Solid or liquid lubricant for i.c. engines contains camphor, and opt. beta-naphthol, camphor lubricants and cleans the inside of the engine; beta-naphthol protects steel against sulphurisation, and suppresses smoke and odour. In an example a solid lubricant for diesel engines comprises 2% organol, 3% distilled alcohol; 5% mineral oil, 10% camphor and 80% beta naphthol, mixed in that order.
