Abstract

Primary heat exchange fluid is fed to a system of exchange tubes, housed in a cylindrical container and held at one end by a support plate allowing free expansion during the exchange process. The secondary fluid is admitted to the housing to circulate, at a controlled speed, over the primary tubes along channels defined by partitions encircling the tubes and held at the opposite end to the support plate by an auxiliary plate, both plates being readily demountable to facilitate cleaning operations.
