Abstract
Tyre band for land vehicles and aircraft permits traction and braking without skidding, and landing, on grease, glazed frost, or thick ice. It has nylon rods which contact the ground. Pref. the rods are fixed perpendicularly to the ground contact and bear at their other ends a ball for anchorage in the tyre tread. The rods can also form part of the tyre itself.
