Abstract

Continuous zigzag cam track is provided on both sides of the valve housing for a pin fixed to the outer stationary casing or vice versa. The zigzags differ in dimension towards the axis of the valve and are designed so that when the sliding housing moves, the pin at the tip of the curve track can only move from one part to the next. The tips in the curve track can be offset from part to part thus assuring the pin progress. This ensures positive seating of the valve despite high pressures.
