Abstract

The dielectric material is applied to the electrodes as a powder by means of a plasma torch. Specif. the powder is silica, alumina, or barium titanate, and the surface finish is improved by completing the process by another technique e.g. electrolytic or catalytic. Thicker coatings are obtained more rapidly and economically by this method, the form of the coating permits easier discharge at lower relative potential. The ozonisers are used to produce ozone for bleaching, deodorising and sterilising purposes.
