Abstract

Self-heating aq. aerosols. Comp. consists of two components housed in separate portions of the container, and each pressurised with liquified gas, so as to give simultaneous discharge of both, in the form an aerosol, via a valve. A mixture of constant comp. is given which produces an exothermic reaction, (one portion contains an oxidant and the other, a reducing agent). The reducing agent is 2-mercapto-benzoxazol or a cpd. of formula: (where R and R1 = H or alkyl, alkoxyl, aryl, X = 2H, O, or S). Used in shampoos, skin creams, etc.
