Abstract

Device comprises a reservoir, partly filled with scrubbing liquid e.g. water fitted with an inverted half submerged scoop blade mounted on a horizontal hinge or axle and made to perform vertical oscillations under the action of a toothed belt drive activating an arm on the paddle. A section of the surface is scooped under a watertight partition and released to a belt scraper fitted with elasticated projections acting along the length of the scoop, which is then returned to its normal position and the cycle repeated.
