Abstract

Material comprises an aq. soln of compd of isotope 10B with hydrosoluble monomers, cross-linking agents activators and opt retarders. This soln is capable of fixing 10 to 200 times its own weight after polymerisation. The soln contg. 6 to 8% wt of compd. of isotope 10B and 0.15 to 15.0% wt of polymerisable monomers. This material can be used to form a protection against neutron rays, e.g. in central nuclear stations, cheaply and efficiently.
