Abstract
Aluminium oxide, low in sodium oxide, prodn. Process comprises calcination of Al(OH)3 with the addn. of boric acid just prior to total conversion into alpha-Al2O3, specif. the Al(OH)3 and the boric acid are introduced into a tubular, rotary oven, then 0.5-2.0% of NH4Cl is added.
