Abstract

The surfaces of a polystyrene core have applied to them a fibre-glass-reinforced polyester resinous coating, which gives complete resistance to high temps. e.g. above 85 degrees C and also exceptional resistance to mechanical shocks without use of degradation of the polystyrene core. The polystyrene can be spray-coated with the polyester.
