Abstract
Enzymic reactions are carried out in contact with a semipermeable membrane (conveniently) a crosslinked dextran gel) through which the reaction product is removed. Substrate may be added and product removed continuously. Apparatus described consists of a pressure-vessel with a porous false/bottom supporting a semipermeable membrane, with provision for addition of material and stirring at the top and removal of product at the base.
