Abstract

An internally stabilised vinyl chloride copolymer, resistant to heat and to ageing, is obtained by copolymerising vinyl chloride with an olefinic epoxy compound, with a salt of an unsaturated organic acid and a metal from Groups IIA, IIB or IVA of the Periodic System, and possibly with a 4th monomer. The epoxy and metal salt stabilisers are combined in the copolymer and are therefore not subject to migration.
