Abstract

Crosspieces of solid plastics insulator are longitudinal and are interposed between the inner and outer conductors and separate them. A thin layer of solid plastics insulator is integral with the crosspieces and forms a dielectric barrier which covers the inner conductor completely, between the crosspieces. An insulating foam is compressed between the barrier and the outer conductor, filling the free spaces between the crosspieces. Pref. the foam components are introduced as a mist.
