Abstract

Preparations containing 1.5-2 kg/ha of 2.4-dichlorophenyl 4-nitrophenylether (nitrophen) as well as small quantity of a chloro-, cyano- or methylmercatotriazine, may be used against weeds such as grasses, mono- and dico-tyledons etc. in winter rapeseed and are much more active against the normally most frequently encountered weeds in rapeseed crops without damaging the crop. Preparations with highest activity contain the indicated quantity of nitrophen as well as up to 0.2 kg/ha 2-chloro 4.6-bisethylamino 1,35-triazine (simazin). Other additions to nitrophen are up to 1 kg/ha of 2-ethylamino 6-methylthio 6-t-butylamino 1,3,5-triazine; up to 0.7 kg3/ha of 2-cyano 4-ethylamino 6-isopropylamino 1,3-5-triazine or up to 0.35 kg/ha or 2-isopropylamino 4-methylamino 6-methylthio 1,3,5-triazine (desmetryn).
