Abstract
Continuous glass fibre drawing incorporates sensing of variations in motion of fibres during drawing. Pressure variations in a stream of gas flowing across the fibres as they issue from the drawing nozzles are applied, via pressure-sensitive switching, to the circuit controlling motion of the fibre coilers.
