Abstract

The film contains lead and at least one substance for absorbing the secondary emission from the lead. The filler pref. consists of 70 to 90% of a lead compound, 5 to 25% iron or an iron compound, and 5 to 10% of a calcium compound, esp. such mixtures of basic lead carbonate, iron powder and calcium carbonate. Preferred compositions consist of synthetic resin binder 100 parts (esp. PVC), filler 166 to 1000 softener 41 to 100, stabiliser 1 to 4, and lubricant 1 to 4 parts.
