Abstract

Mixture contg. 50% styrene is suspension polymerised using a dispersing agent in the presence of 0.01-0.3% by wt. of polysiloxane catalyst to give polystyrene. The mixture contains 0.1-10% precipitating agent, and a swelling agent. The polymers produced have a viscosity between 100-1000 cs (pref. 100-2000 cs).
