Abstract

The adhesive used comprises: (i) an elastomer or diene-based rubber with no tendency to self-adhesion. (ii) a minor amount, with respect to the total elastomer, of a sequenced thermoplastic polymer (I) and (iii) about 25-125 parts wt. of the total elastomers of a solid resin (II) that is an adhesive for the elastomers. The (I) used has the structure ABA (where B is a homo- or co-polymer of, for example, butadiene or isoprene) and A is a vinyl arene group, for example, styrene) comprising about 10-35% of the total sequenced polymer. (II) may be for example, colophony, polyterpene, or coumarone indene resins.
