The plate may be coated with a thin layer of anti-frictional material and together with the cable holding grips is screwed to the top of the ski. The edge of the sliding plate may be partly oblique with the oblique portions fitting into recesses in the fixing plate. The device dimminisheds the chance of serious accidents by facilitating release under high torques.
