Abstract
Polypivalolactone fibres having an improved elastic recovery are produced from non-drawn polypivalolactone fibre having (1) an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.7; (2) a degree of orientation of at least 0.85; (3) an elongation of at least 200%; and (4) a high degree of elastic retention, by drawing the non-drawn fibre at a drawing temp. (t) defined by: 220 deg.C >= T >=10 deg.C.
