Abstract
Electroluminescent units are used in place of incandescent lamps in the display panels of the remotely controled amusement apparatus described in Specifications 1,103,880 and 1,048,454 (Division G4) for playing noughts and crosses and dice respectively. Several electroluminescent units are mounted on one side of a panel and are connected to a printed circuit on the other side of the panel by leads passing through apertures in the panel. Each electroluminescent unit may have two alternately energizable electrodes on its face in the form of e.g. a nought and a cross. The remote control unit includes a coin-operated switch and a player-operated switch and is coupled to control circuits in the display device by a radio transmitter/receiver.
