Abstract

The invention concerns a key set for operating for example a mobile telephone, a telephone, a calculator, a radio, an instrument or other apparatus, for the operation of which the numerical keys 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0 are used, together with some keys for additional functions, a, b, c. The aim of the invention is to produce a key set which can also be located out of sight of the user, for example behind the steering wheel of a car, and which it is possible to operate by feel and due to a generally known layout. In the invention the keys have been placed in a circle in the order they are found on a clock face. There is a zero in the key set instead of number ten on the clock face and there are keys for additional functions instead of numbers eleven and twelve and in the centre of the key set. The keys are elongated in shape and run radially from the centre of the circle to its circumference. In order to make them easier to distinguish by fingertip, the keys 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 0 are higher and have a ridge while the keys 3, 6, 9 are lower and have a double ridge. The keys for the additional functions are lower and flat or alternatively the key in the eleven o'clock position is higher and has a ridge while the key in the twelve o'clock position is lower and has a double ridge. <IMAGE>
