Abstract

The invention relates to a cooling system for a turbine-driven generator (2) in a tank (1) surrounded by running water (12) and a tubular turbine generator (2) with a cooling system (3) and generator drive cooling. The aim of the invention is to provide a corresponding novel cooling system and especially a novel cooled tubular turbine generator (2). The novel cooling system is to be simple and, as far as possible, without adverse effect on the mechanical bearing structure of the tank (1). It is to be constructed with the least extensive equipment possible and, above all, be universally usable. This aim is achieved by a tubular turbine generator (2) with an air/liquid heat exchanger (3) inside the tank (1) connected on the liquid side to pipes (6) leading in closed circuit to at least one liquid/liquid heat exchanger (13) in heat conductive connection with the running water (12) outside the tank (1).
