Abstract

An energy transfer system for an electric machine having magnetic bearings comprises an electric machine (6), a machine director (3) in energy transferring connection with the electric machine (6), magnetic bearings (7), a magnetic director (4) in energy transferring connection with the magnetic bearings (7), a control system (5), and an energy supplying means (1). The energy transfer system further includes an energy reserve (2) to which the energy supplying means (1), the machine director (3) and the magnetic director (4) are arranged in energy transmitting connection.
