10 Freezer bottles are used to freeze various liquids such as juices. Today, freezer bottles are mainly cylindrical bottles. When filling such bottles, care must be taken not to put too much liquid in the bottle, as the liquid expands as it freezes, which can cause the overfilled bottle to crack. The problem with storing freezer bottles in freezers is that they cannot be placed on top of each other and when placed side by side, there is a waste of space between them.

It is an object of the invention to provide a freezer bottle by means of which the drawbacks associated with existing freezer bottles are eliminated. In particular, it is an object of the invention to provide a freezer bottle in which the liquid does not split the bottle when frozen and which can be stored more efficiently on top of each other and side by side and more easily emptied than previously known freezer bottles.

The object of the invention is achieved by a freezer bottle which is characterized by what is stated in the claims.

In the freezer bottle according to the invention, the edge 35 2 i ΛΊ 4 on the side opposite to the expansion space of the freezer bottle is formed obliquely downwards. The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows an application of a freezer bottle according to the invention seen from the side.

The freezer bottle shown in the figure comprises a shell 1, an opening formed in the upper part of the shell and a cap 2 for closing the mouth opening. The shell is substantially parallelepiped-shaped, so that an expansion space 3 is formed in the upper part of the shell, which is formed by a protruding space made in the shell. The expansion space is 25 on one side of the shell and the upper edge 4 of the expansion space is higher than the edge 5 of the mouth opening. When the cap is attached to the mouth opening as shown, the top edge of the cap is flush with the top edge of the expansion space. The angle 6 on the opposite side of the mouth is bevelled downwards. Bottles in the shape of a parallelepiped are easy to store side by side, leaving no space.

The invention is not limited to the preferred embodiment shown, but may vary within the scope of the inventive idea formed by the claims. The size of the freezer bottles can vary as desired in different applications.
