Abstract
The invention relates to suspension rods for anodes which are to be immersed in electrolysis vessels and especially suspension rods for anodes which are used in the electrolysis of aluminium. According to the invention the suspension rod 1 is made of a material with good electrical conductivity 2 and it is internally supported with a material which has lower electrical conductivity but greater strength 3. The upper part 5 of the suspension rod 1 is undivided and the lower part divided into at least two parts 4. <IMAGE>
