Abstract

This publication describes a constant flow regulator to control intake of a gaseous substance, especially air fed to ventilation and air conditioning units. The task of the regulator is to keep volume flow in the flowing gases constant when the pressure difference over the regulator varies. According to the invention, this control element 5 is arranged within the regulator housing whose upper ends are hinged 6. This control element 5 is set in a balance position, which is determined, on the one hand, by the torque created by the pressure directed against it and, on the other hand, by the torque caused by the weight of the control element 5. Control element 5 then rotates around hinges 6 when the pressure difference varies, the distance 1 between it and at the same time the air flow through the regulator being varied. <IMAGE>
