Abstract

The invention relates to a device for monitoring a patient's condition, consisting of a detection and transmitting unit 1, which is attachable to the wrist, with a detection device 4 for checking cardiac pulse frequency and a signal transmitting device 9, and a separate receiving and analysis unit 2 with signal reception device 10 and a processor 11 for analysing signals, and a device 3 for issuing an alarm if the results of analysis so demand. In the detection and transmitting unit 1 there is also an activity sensor 5 designed through the mediation of a pulse counter 6 to launch a signal for a certain time, when a predetermined number of activity impulses is reached. For analysis of the patient's condition use is made of both the signal transmission interval T1 and the cardiac pulse frequency T2,T3 measured during the signal transmissions. <IMAGE>
