Abstract

A process is presented for reducing the concentration of impurities in a flue gas from the burning of carboniferous fuel. The process relates to the addition of a first treatment reagent in the waste gas at a first temperature range in order to reduce the concentration of a first impurity and the addition of a second treatment reagent in the waste gas at a second temperature range in order to reduce the concentration of either the first or a second impurity, the first and the second treatment reagent being added under effective conditions to reduce the pollution index of the flue gas.
