Abstract

The invention concerns a method for fitting a rectangular frame, for example for a door or window. The invention also concerns the rectangular frame. To simplify the final fitting of the frame so that it is not necessary to use structural profiles which have to be measured at the point of fitting, cut and secured on the sides of the frame facing out towards the wall surfaces, the frame comprises elongate and beam-like parts 1a, 1b which, after being cut to suitable length, are joined to form a fixed frame unit, after which separate, preferably adjustable structural profiles 4a, 4b are placed on this frame unit. <IMAGE>
