Method and measuring element 34 for measuring a force acting in a tensile device. 2.1 The intention is to develop a method and a measuring element for adjusting a force acting in a tensile device, by means of which tensile resistance forces deriving from an earth cultivating implement or the like are adjusted in a technically simple, cost-effective and reliable way. 2.2 The method and the measuring element 34 are such that the force is transmitted by means of a coupling element 28 to the measuring element 34 and there produces an adjustment of the sensor element 72, which is interpreted by a pick-up element 76, which responds to changes in the frequency and magnetic field, and is fed to a control circuit. 2.3 The invention can be used on tractors, agricultural, construction and forestry machines, power plant and lifting devices. <IMAGE>
