Abstract

A protective housing for a lock member 4 or the like is intended to prevent unnecessary use of an emergency exit. The housing consists of a fixed part 6 arranged on the door and of a detachable part 7. The two parts are connected by means of guide pins 8 which cannot be removed without being broken apart. The parts of the housing remain undamaged and can be re-used after fitting new guide pins. After detachment, the outer part remains hanging in the inner part via a line 9. <IMAGE>
