Claims (6)
1. Anordning för elektrisk uppvärmning av gaser i form av en plasmagenerator innefattande cylindrlska elek-5 troder (2, 3), varav den ena (2) uppvisar en sluten ände och den andra (3) är öppen i bäda ändar, vilka elektroder är anslutna till en strömkälla för alstrande av en elektrisk ljusbäge mellan elektroderna (2, 3) samt anordningar för tillförsel av gas till anordningen (1), känne- 10 tecknad av ätminstone ett mellan elektroderna an-ordnat mellanstycke (6, 7) med en längd av 100 - 500 mm och en elektromagnet (51) eller motsvarande pä en plats utefter ljusbägens väg för alstrande av ett vinkelrätt mot ljusbägen verkande magnetfalt (32).
2. Anordning enligt patentkravet 1, känne- tecknad därav, att mellanstyckets (-nas) (6, 7) längd uppgär tili 200 - 400 mm.
3. Anordning enligt nägot av patentkraven 1 eller 2, kännetecknad därav, att antalet mellan- 20 stycken (6, 7) uppgär tili 5 och att deras längd avpassas sä att den totala längden svarar mot eftersträvad effekt och spänningsfall per längdenhet.
4. Anordning enligt nägot av de föregäende patentkraven, kännetecknad därav, att den är upp- 25 byggd av dels tvä ändmoduler innefattande respektive elek-trod (2, 3) med tillhörande anslutningar för el, gas samt kylvatten i form av snabbkopplingar, och dels mellan-modu-ler var och en innefattande ett mellanstycke (6 resp. 7) med snabbkopplingar för gas- och kylvattentillförsel.
5. Anordning enligt nägot av de föregäende patent kraven, kännetecknad därav, att ljusbägspas-sagen uppvisar ätminstone ett diameterökningssteg (41) sett i gasens huvudströmningsriktning.
6. Anordning enligt patentkravet 5, känne- 35 tecknad därav, att förhällandet mellan diametern före resp. efter diameterökningssteget (41) uppgär tili mellan 0,5 och 1, företrädesvis mellan 0,7 och 0,9.
