The invention relates to a berry picking device comprising a picker, two arms connected thereto, a handle connecting the arms and an forearm support.

A berry picking device of this type is disclosed in Finnish patent application 834514. The stems are fixedly connected to the picker, as is the handle to the stems. With the help of the pick-up device, it is possible to pick the berries from the bend, but due to the unevenness of the ground, the picker with its stems must be constantly tilted back and forth, which is relatively inconvenient.

The aim is to provide a new berry picking device which eliminates the above-mentioned drawback.

The berry picking device according to the invention is mainly characterized in that each arm is connected to the picker by a joint, that the handle is connected to each arm by a joint and that either arm has an extension extending past the handle joint to which the elbow-20 arm support is attached.

Thanks to this solution, the pick-up can be easily tilted in a vertical plane according to the unevenness of the ground and backwards at the end of the pick-up movement.

Preferably, both arms, the pick-up and the handle form an articulator, the rear arm extending past the handle joint and secured at its upper end to the forearm of the pick-up by, for example, a ring or strap.

The invention will now be described in more detail for 30 minutes with reference to the accompanying schematic drawing, which shows a berry picking device seen from the side, in a picking situation.

However, in terms of device operation, the front arm 12 could just as well extend past the handle joint 20 and engage the picker's forearm, and the distance between the joints 17 and 18 could be shorter than the handle 14, reducing the wrist movement required to tilt the pick 11 11. The extension 13a also does not necessarily have to be fastened to the forearm of the pick-up by a completely circumferential ring or strap, but a somewhat satisfactory operation can be achieved even using the simple forearm support disclosed in Finnish Patent 56,468.
