Claims (9)
1. Förfarande för utvinning av koppar och nickel ur sulfidmineraler innehällande koppar, nickel och järn, 5 genom rostning av mineralerna och sedan sulfatering av de rostade mineralerna i separata steg och utlakning av det sulfaterade materialet och utvinning av koppar ur laklösningen, kännetecknat därav, att allt eller en del av nickelinnehället i laklösningen 10 returneras tili rostningssteget· och att nickelinne hället avlägsnas i form av en oxid, tillsammans med lakningsäterstoden.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att koppar utvinnes ur 15 laklösningen medelst en elektrolysprocess.
3. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 2 , kännetecknat därav, att laklösningen recirkuleras efter utvinning av koppar därur.
4. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, känne- 20 tecknat därav, att det användna sulfaterings- medlet är antingen svavelsyra, svaveltrioxid, metall-sulfat och/eller svaveldioxid, tillsammans med syre.
5. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 4, kännetecknat därav, att minst en del av sulfaterings- 25 medlet är laklösning som recirkulerats efter utvinning av koppar därur.
6. Förfarande enligt patentkravet l,känne-tecknat därav, att rostningssteget är en magne-tit producerande rostning och genomförs vid en temperatur 30 av 800-1100°C med begränsad syretillförsel.
7. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att nickeln utvinnes ur lakningsäterstoden genom smältning och reduktion för att bilda en nickel/järn-legering som innehäller smä mängder 35 av koppar.
