Suitable aids known in the art for carrying the receiver are the usual carrying handles placed on top of the receiver housing. It is also known to place handles or the like on the sides of the receiver to facilitate carrying. However, such placement of aids has certain disadvantages, such as aesthetic disadvantages, because the handles are often not beautiful. In addition, the handles are technically expensive in terms of production technology.

In the German publication DE 1276693, the above-mentioned disadvantages have been eliminated by implementing a carrying hole in the back cover of the receiver. The carrying case is according to the invention placed above the picture tube symmetrically with respect to a plane passing through the center of gravity of the receiver.

All the aids described above require the receiver to be carried at the bottom, hanging. This carrying method is ill-suited for large and heavy receivers.

It is an object of the present invention to obviate the disadvantages of the prior art and to provide an inexpensive, simple and convenient aid for carrying a television receiver which is invisible to the viewer.

The starting point of the invention is, in contrast to the previous solutions, a carrying method in which the receiver is carried on the lap. Usually when carrying the receiver on your lap, the wearer places their palms in the lower back corners of the receiver. This carrying position is heavy because the large receiver, with its weight, tends to spread the wearer's arms and thus release the palm grips. According to the invention, the disadvantage is eliminated by providing the outer edge of the back cover of the receiver with a recess in which the carrier places one palm, the other being in the back corner. Thus, the hand in the back corner resists gravity, with the hand in the cavity supporting the receiver against the wearer's body. The invention is characterized by what is stated in the main claim.

The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 shows a television receiver with an aid according to the invention and Figure 2 shows a preferred carrying position when using a back cover with the above invention in a receiver.

In Figures 1 and 2, reference numeral 1 denotes an aid according to the invention, reference numeral 2 denotes the back cover of a television receiver and reference numeral 3 denotes its receiver housing.

As can be seen from the figures, the aid according to the invention is simply formed by at least one carrier recess 1 in the back cover 2 of the receiver.

There can be several carrying holes 1. It is desirable for the back cover to have at least two support recesses located symmetrically with respect to the vertical centerline of the back cover to allow the carrying position as shown in the mirror image of Figure 2. The placement of the recesses in the back cover 2 is not tied to any particular point, but may vary vertically near or above the horizontal centerline. In practice, it has been found best to place the cavity close to the horizontal centerline of the back cover. Laterally, the cavity should be close to the outside, about five to ten cm from the side, so that the wearer's palm could rest on the outside of the receiver while holding the cavity.
