Claims (9)
1. Förfarande för katalytisk konversion av kolväten genom att bringa en kolvätecharge under konversionsförhällanden i kontakt med en katalysator som innehäller en atomärt dispergerad iridiumkomponent kombinerad med en eldfast, porös, oorganisk oxid-bärare, varvid katalysatorn ätminstone delvis deaktiverats under sin kontakt med chargen p.g.a. kolavlagringar bildade pä kata-lysatorns yta, regenerera den ätminstone delvis deaktiverade katalysatorn och äteraktivera densamma genom att bringa katalysator-bädden i kontakt med en syreinnehällande gasblandning vid för-höjd temperatur sä länge, att en väsentlig del av kolet avbränns därifrän, agglomerera iridiumkomponenten och därefter äterdispergera densamma pä bäraren i ett eller flera successiva reduktions/-halogeniseringssteg, varvid den agglomererade katalysatorn i reductionssteget bringas i kontakt med en reducerande gas vid för-höjd temperatur sä länge, att en väsentlig del av iridiumet pä bäraren har reducerats till metallisk form och den reducerade katalysatorn bringas därefter i ett äterdispergeringssteg i kontakt med en gas innehällande en halogen vid en temperatur pä minst 300°C, kännetecknat av att kolet avbränns frän den deaktiverade katalysatorn genom att bringa denna i kontakt med en syreinnehällande gasblanding vid en sädan temperatur sä länge, att över 70 vikt-% av iridiumet agglomereras tili relativt stora kristaller, vilkas sidor har en längd över 5 nm mätt med röntgen-eller kenisorptionsbeknik innan den avkolade katalysatorn behandlas i ett eller flera successiva reduktions/halogeniseringssteg.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat av att katalysatorn innehäller utöver iridiumkomponenten ca 0,01-3,0 vikt-% platinakomponent och ca 0,1-3,0 vikt-% klor-komponent inkluderade pä aluminiumoxidbäraren.
3. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1 eller 2, kännetecknat av att den syreinnehällande gasblandningen innehäller ca 0,1-2 mol-% syre, och temperaturen, vid vilken katalysatorn bringas i kontakt med den syreinnehällande gasblandningen, varierar melian ca 400-600°C.
