Once the bottles have been moved onto the first conveyor, pressure is released from the channel 18, allowing the bellows 17 to release the soft drink bottle, but the bellows 15 still holding the beer bottle at its inlet end. The group of intake heads is then transferred to the second conveyor and the pressure is released from the channel 16, whereby the upper gripping bellows 15 also come loose and the beer bottles remain on this conveyor.

Figures 3 and 4 show a device corresponding in principle to the device according to Figures 1 and 2, but the structure of the gripping members has been changed in order to increase the operational reliability. The gripping members consist of radially movable upper pins 25 and lower pins 27, which are pushed radially inwards by rubber pressure hoses 21 and 23 and return springs 22 outwards.
