Esitetään menetelmä, ohjausyksikkö ja elektroninen latausjärjestely akun (205) varaustason määrittämiseksi akun (205) latauksen aikana. Menetelmä käsittää akun (205) lataamisen (110) latausvirralla (410) ensimmäisen ajanjakson (T1) aikana, latausvirran (410) keskeyttämisen (120) ensimmäisen ajanjakson (T1) jälkeen ainakin keskeytysajanjaksoksi (T2), akun (205) napajännitteen (420) muutoksen määrittämisen (130) keskeytysajanjakson (T2) aikana, ja napajännitteen (420) määritettyyn muutokseen (480) perustuvan varaustason määrittämisen (140).
