Abstract

The present invention refers to a vortex device(12) and a method for modifying properties of different liquids or gases. Such a device comprises seven helical coils (10), four of the coils being arranged to be right-handed (10 R ) and three of the coils being arranged to be left-handed(10 L ). One of the right-handed coils is arranged in the centre of the coils,forming a centre coil, whereas the other coils form outer coils. These outer coils are grouped three and three on the opposite sides of said centre coil. All the coils have seven or a multiple of seven turns and the ends (13) of the coils are adjusted to face the centre coil in different positions when compared to each other, thus giving rise to liquids or gases with different characteristics.
