Abstract

An arrangement (204, 304, 604), such as one or more electronic apparatus, for facilitating the identification of a user of an electronic service (202a), such as an online service, including processing means (610) for processing instructions and other data, storing means (616) for storing instructions and other data, as well as data transfer means (612) for transmitting and receiving data, the arrangement being adapted to receive an identification request according to an electronic identification service, such as the TUPAS service used by banks, with regard to said electronic service; to send the user (202b) of said electronic service a request (401, 402, 420) to input his/her user identifier for identifying the user by means of the arrangement; to receive the user identifier (310, 404, 422) from the user; if the user identifier is a user identifier used in mobile certification, such as a mobile station number, to send a mobile certification request (312) containing the user identifier, which preferably is a mobile station number, such as a Mobile Station International ISDN Number, towards an entity (206, 306) providing mobile certification or at least an interface thereto; to receive a mobile certification reply (318); to process, based on the mobile certification reply, a reply message according to said electronic identification service, such as the TUPAS service; and to send the reply message (320) to the user.
