Abstract

The invention relates to a device arrangement for controlling the quality of a metal belt (2) in an apparatus (1) for processing a fibrous web W, the said processing apparatus (1) comprising a metal belt (2) for conveying the fibrous web, and the fibrous web is also arranged to be conveyed through at least one counter-element (5) forming a contact surface with the metal belt, between which metal belt (2) and counter-element (5) is formed a fibrous web W processing zone. The device arrangement comprises as measuring instruments at least one measuring sensor (7) located in the vicinity of the metal belt for forming an eddy current in the metal belt and for carrying out eddy-current measurement on the moving metal belt (2), and at least one amplifier (11) for forming the measurement information, which measurement information includes information on the quality of the metal belt. The device arrangement also comprises a measuring computer (10) for controlling the quality of the metal belt by processing the said measurement information.
