Abstract

The invention relates to a method and equipment for determining dust formation of web-like material. A measuring device for measuring the dust formation of the moving web-like material is arranged in connection with a production line for web-like material. Air is sucked from the surface of the web-like material by means of a suction nozzle (3). The amount of particles in the sucked air is determined from the sucked air by means of a particle-identifying sensor. On the basis of the amount of particles, a parameter describing the dust formation of the web-like material is determined.
