Abstract

This invention relates to a valve (1), comprising an inlet opening (2), an outlet opening (3) and a flow channel (4) connecting the inlet opening and the outlet opening, which flow channel has a shut-off member (5) from which a shaft (6) protrudes via which the shut-off member (5) can be moved in the flow channel (4); and a shaft sealing arrangement comprising a suction channel (10) so that fluid having flown from the flow channel to the shaft sealing arrangement can be removed to the suction channel via a first end (11) of the suction channel; and sealing points (7, 8) arranged on both sides of the first end (11) of said suction channel, seen in the longitudinal direction of the shaft (6). To prevent possible leakage along the shaft, a second end (12) of the suction channel (10) opens to an area of rapid flow or low pressure in the flow channel (4) of the valve (1).
