Abstract

Keksintö koskee hajautetun palomuurin hallintaa. Keksinnön mukaisessa sovelluksessa päätelaite (10) lähettää tietoliikennettä päätelaitteelle (113). Tietoliikenne välitetään vähintään yhden suodatinkomponentin (11, 17) läpi. Jokaiseen suodatinkomponenttiin voidaan tallentaa joukko suodatussääntöjä, joiden perusteella tietoliikennettä suodatetaan. Mikäli suodatussäännöt kieltävät tietoliikenteen välittämisen, lähetetään suodatussääntöjen ylläpitäjälle pyyntö suodatussääntöjen muuttamiseksi. Tarvittaessa muutospyynnön välittämiseen voidaan kysyä lupa lähettävältä päätelaitteelta.
