Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and a system for providing a communication service to subscribers (100, 110) and/or different services or information types in the subscriber connection having a data transmission connection over the network (200) to a server (301, 302, 401), whereby the transmission bandwith of the access network (500) is changed dynamically. According to the invention, the network (200) is provided with management means (204) of a router/switch (202), and the total bandwidth is adjusted by instructing the router and/or switch using the management means. The management means (204) monitors the data transmission of the servers of the subscriber connections over the router/switch, and subbands of the data transmission are reserved for at least two different information types or different traffic classes within an information type. The different information types are prioritized in relation to each other and an own subband is reserved for each type within the total available band, and the dynamically changing connection (500) is optionally activated from the subscriber connection (100) or from an independent third party or from a second subscriber connection.
