Un cortacircuitos antiexplosivo, caracterizado por que una pieza móvil electroaislante y de estructura prismática forma en su centro un saliente de forma trapecial, a cuyos lados se fijan unas piezas conductoras que establecen contacto, por uno de sus extremos, con los bornes terminales del circuito a proteger, mediante unas expansiones laminares dispuestas longitudinalmente, y por el otro extremo sujetan el elemento fusible filiforme, que se ve obligado a rodear la periferia del saliente trapecial citado, evitándose la formación de arcos eléctricos entre los terminales.
