The process is for separating solid particles of different size and/or relative density on an inclined jigging table. Separation is assisted by a jigging motion of the table. - An upward stream of fluid at least partly fluidises the particles, and an underpass gate is disposed between the upper and lower discharge ends of the table, to aid motion.
