Abstract

A safety belt arrangement has two substructure units (A, B) one of which is anchored on the vehicle body and the other of which accommodates the female part for the male part of the safety belt lock. In the event of an accident, any abrupt loading is absorbed in a resilient manner and the first substructure unit (A) is released after a delay. Separation of the two substructure units is used to actuate additional devices.
