Sticks for use in mfr. of sports goods are made by (a) impregnating the interior surface of a mould and its outlet with mould release agent; (b) covering a polyurethane core of stick shape with a layer of glass fibre and carbon fabric, another uni-directional glass fibre layer, another unidirectional layer of carbon fibre fabric and finally a transverse bandage of glass fibre or carbon fibre fabric; and (c) placing it in the mould in an oven at 90 deg.C for 1 hour.
